Actinogreen is beneficial antifungal microbe that produces
enzymes and antibiotics that
exhibit strong antifungal activity
against pathogenic fungi. It
improves the color, growth,
uniformity, nutrient uptake
and turf quality. |
 |
Actinogreen is safe for repeated use and ideal for golf
courses, home lawns, gardens, sports fields and landscapes.
It is not harmful to humans, animals, fish, plants, or
the environment. |
Characteristics and Efficacy of Actinogreen® |
 |
The efficacy of Actinogreen® has
been confirmed through turfgrass
field trials at many golf courses. |
 |
Actinogreen® is
applied with conventional spraying
equipment. The application intervals
were spaced at 7 to 14 days.
The trials clearly indicate
that Actinogreen improves turf
quality and is highly effective
in controlling the incidences
of fungal diseases caused by
Pythium species, Rhizoctonia
solani, and Sclerotinia
homoeocarpa.
|
 |
Actinogreen is an essential means
in preventing the pathogens
from developing resistance to
chemical fungicies. It dramatically
reduces the need for synthetic
fertilizers and chemical fungicies.
the graphs on the following
pages show the results of the
field trials. |
Actinogreen®,,The
Environmentally Friendly Solution |
 |
Lack of beneficial microbes can
reduce stress tolerance and
greater susceptibility to diseases.
However, the beneficial microbes
are often not present in adequate
quantities in golf courses that
have used chemical fertilizers
and pesticides. |
 |
Intensive use of chemical fungicides
destroys the natural diversity
of beneficial microbes which
are an essential part of the
ecosystem that supports healthy
turf.
|
 |
Actinogreen, beneficial antifungal
microbes, provides an environmentally
friendly product for improving
the turf quality. The beneficial
antifungal microbes also protect
turf by forming natural defenses
against pathogenic fungi. |
 |
Actinogreen is specially
formulated with specific strains
of Streptomyces species that
quickly colonize the soil and
roots, improving root development
and deeper root growth, chlorophyll
production, nutrient uptake,
turf quality, and disease control.
|
 |
Actinogreen creates
a biologically active antifungal
barrier between turf and pathogens
and antagonizes pathogens.
|
 |
Actinogreen enhances
the natural system of beneficial
microbial activity and pathogen
resistance.
|
 |
The resulting microbial
activities improve plant performance
by faciliating the uptake of
nutrients and water, while simultaneously
aiding in disease control. It
can be used on all turfgrass
areas, including golf course
greens, tees, fairways, athletic
fields, lawns, and sod farms.
It can also be used on newly
seeded turfgrass to improve
seed germination and stand.
|
 |
The product comes in
an easy-to-use liquid formulation
which is mixed with water for
spraying or injected into irrigation
systems.
|
 |
Actinogreen is the
ideal product for those seeking
to significatly reduce the use
of synthetic fertilizers and
chemical fungicides.
|
Thatch Control. |
 |
The accumulation of thatch reduces
air movement, prevents water
from reaching the root zone,
and harbors destructive pathogens,
and increases the frequeny and
severity of turfgrass disease. |
 |
Applications of Actinogreen can
increase beneficial microbial
activities for better thatch
control. Actinogreen produces
effective enzymes which speed
up biodegradation of the organic
matter that makes up the thatch
layer.
|
 |
By restoring the microbial activity
involving by the thatch biodegradation,
Actinogreen helps maintain a
healthy stand of turf. Apply
at a one liter (quart) rate
per 250 m2(2500 ft2
) of turf
every 3~4 weeks throughout the
growing season to dramatically
improve your thatch control
program. |

Product Description |
 |
Actinogreen is beneficial antifungal
microbe that quickly colonizes
the rhizosphere and rhizoplane,
significantly increasing root
branching and growth, chlorophyll
production, thatch biodegradation,
nutrient uptake, turf color,
vigor, uniformity, density and
the overall appearance of turfgrass.
The beneficial microbes produce
enzymes that decompose organic
matter and enhance balanced
growth of turfgrass. It allows
for an earlier playing season
and improves seed germination
and turf establishment in newly
constructed golf courses. |
 |
Actinogreen consists of producers
of enzymes and antibiotics that
exhibit strong antifungal actibity
against pathogenic fungi. Antibiosis
and mycoparasitism are well
known antifungal mechanisms
in biological control.
|
 |
Actinogreen is an essential means
in improving turf quality to
the entire fertilization and
disease control program, and
in preventing the pathogens
from developing resistance to
chemical fungicides. It dramatically
reduces the need for synthetic
fertilizers and chemical fungicides. |
 |
Actinogreen is safe
for repeated use and ideal for
golf courses, home lawns, gardens,
sports fields and landscapes.
It is not harmful to humans,
animals, fish, plasnts, and
the environment.
|
Application Recommendation |
 |
Shake well before using. |
 |
Apply in the mornign or evening
for better activity.
|
 |
Do not mix with any fungicides,
herbicides, or insecticides. |
 |
Do not mix with chlorinated
water.
|
 |
Do not mix with fertilizers
or micronutrients that have
a high salt index such as phosphates,
phosphoric acid, urea, ammonia
based materials, potassium chloride,
citric acid chelates or thiosulfates.
|
 |
Do not mix with products
with a pH below 5.5 or above
8.0.
|
 |
Maintain adequate agitation
in the spray tank during application.
|
 |
Immediate aplication
after mixing is recommended.
Do not allow spray solution
to stand more that 3 hours to
avoid unnessary contamination.
|
 |
It is strongly recommended
that opened containers should
be used in their entirety.
|
 |
Begin applications
throughout the growing season
from early spring to late fall
on warm, transitional and cool
season turfgrasses.
|
 |
Apply 4 L of Actinogreen
per 500 m2 green
every 7~14 days along with a
standard fertility program.
Apply one liter(quart) of Actinogreen
per 125 m2(1,250
ft2). Mix Actinogreen
with necessary amounts of water
for spraying or injecting in
irrigation systems. Spray foliage
to point of runoff or drench
the root zone to saturation
to allow beneficial microbes
to reach the rhizosphere.
|
 |
It should be applied
before disease infestation.
Higher application rates for
Actinogreen may be required
for severe infestation of pathogens.
In areas where disease has already
manifest, apply along with a
standard fungicide program at
3 to 7 day intervals. If fungicides
are on a set schedule, i.e.
7~14 day intervals, apply Actinogreen
at midpoint.
|
 |
It is not harmful to
humans, animals, fish, plants,
and the environment.
|
Mixing Guide |
 |
Be sure that all tanks have been
cleaned of any harsh chemicals
or fungicides. Add water to
1/2 level followed by Actinogreen.
Add remaining water and continue
to mix thoroughly. |
 |
Actinogreen can Not be mixed with
any fungicides, herbicides or
insecticides. Do NOT mix with
fertilizers or micronutrients
that have a high salt index.
Do NOT mix with products with
a pH below 5.5 or above 8.0.
|
Storage and Handling |
 |
Do NOT freeze. Store in a cool, dry place
away from direct sunlight or heat. |
 |
Refrigeration will extend the shelf life
of Actinogreen. |
